i don’t know… i felt i should mention some of these things…
we are real stoked to be in the new 411 video magazine… issue 14-4, if you have no idea what that is… it’s a totally awesome skateboard video series, and is where i first heard such bands as bad religion when i was 13 or 14 years old! if you’re into skateboarding you can watch the trailer with “yea yeah” on it at…
www.411vm.com
click on the link to watch the trailer
and there’s URB magazine which has an article with a picture of kim and i in front of a gay porn thearter sucking on ice pops, i must have had almost 10 of them, it was sickening slash delicious
new york press had some sort of reader’s pole that voted us best nyc local band.
CMJ had an article about us that had a quote “music to fight or fuck to” which kim and i felt was bad-ass, it had that picture above of us drinking double gulps.
Darkstar skateboards has a series of skateboards called “LP” each comes with a mix tape which our “5K” song, there’s a bunch of other cool bands on it too such as Toys That Kill, No Age, Japanter, and others! the skateboards are dope too! see them here

and pitchfork has a cool track review for us today!
that’s probably all ya can stomache for now…
hope all is awesome!

It is early in the morning and we are leaving cincinnati. We had a killer time here. I’m always nervous playing in a place we’ve never played before cause you can never tell how many will show up and if people will rock out or not. Last night kicked ass. Thank you cincinnati.
We’re making our way to Madison WI today. We have only a few days left of this tour and it has been sweet! King Tuff has been keeping us in check making sure that we party instead of sneaking off to sleep in the van. I have an awful cold to prove it. For some reason someone trying to convince you that “beer will knock that cold right out” is always more convincing as the night grows on.
I’m excited to be in chicago soon and see a ton of friends and also……
so we can go eat at hot doug’s. We try to schedule our tour so that we don’t hit chicago on a sunday. The day hot doug’s is closed. (we’re total nerds over hot dogs (& veggie dogs)
We’ll be back in Brooklyn on the 15th. On the 24th our cd comes out. Damn i can’t wait for that day. If you are in NY, or anywhere close, you gotta come to our record release party/show on the 27th at 3rd ward in brooklyn. I really can’t wait to see everyone at home and eat some grace’s!
big hugs,
kim
Matt and i have been back on the road now for a little under a week. We played Providence RI and Brattleboro VT (our home towns) awesome. Then Boston which was a sweaty mess of dancing and raging and then to Philly…again another sweaty awesome show. great to see some jersey friends who came by. then college park a suburb of DC with The max levine ensamble at University of Maryland’s radio station. haven’t listened to the broadcast but as usual matt said some embarrassing things but made it through the whole set without swearing but maybe a little “shhhhhugar.” i’m very impressed with him.
i’m thinking about rockin’ a sweatband while i play. I can’t figure out if i can pull it off or not but the thought of not having tons of sweat burning out my eyes while we play is so delightful. I keep tried to wipe my face while playing but that just results with me hitting myself with the drum stick.
We have our good friends “king tuff” on this tour and that makes this tour extra awesome. always good when you have your close friends to laugh at fart jokes with you.
Hope all is awesome where ever you are!
big hugs,
kim
we just finished driving 3000 or so miles after a bunch of super fun shows on the west coast that was awesome, and then each lost a dollar on nickel slots in vegas which was not so awesome, but then went to a county fair in ohio and ate fried food and met award winning sheep which was awesomed again so it all worked out. but in unrelated news we just put up another NEW SONG called SOMEDAY on the internet off our album coming out in october! also we’re playing a totally cool outdoor show on saturday while we’re home, details below! and we’ve updated our show list for our tour starting next week that we’re doing together with KING TUFF. and finally, you gotta go check out our good friend JESSE JANE’s online photo show, it plays as a slide show with our song YEA YEAH and it’s amazing (click the picture below to see it)

hope all is awesome and can’t wait to see you soon!

we’re at a coffee shop next door to the “corn palace” which as opposed to popular belief is not a palace made of corn but is a basketball court and eddie money is scheduled to play there next week. we left brooklyn at about 4:30 am two days ago, or at least tried to when colin (our friend coming with us) left his phone off and we spent a little while throwing quarter bouncy balls at his bedroom window, it was a real rom-com situation and then hoped on the road over the williamsburg bridge, through the holland tunnel to immediately get lost the second we hit new jersey. about 12 hours later we’re in chicago playing the first event of MAULED BY TIGERS FEST that just happened to be in the church al sharpton used to do his thing at. it was super hot and super fun, accidently throwing an elbow into a video camera lens and now i can’t lift things. the next day hit up some double diggle dogg action then back on the road and now we are here at corn palace usa!
that one picture was taken on my second attempt at getting on that amp after totally falling off on the first. and kim and i canceled our flights to seatle and decided to make it a road trip, stopping to play MAULED BY TIGERS FEST in chicago, which has a million awesome bands throughout the week (www.mauledbytigers.com) and our only other planned stop is the lovely missoula montana. (info for these shows to the right). we’re leaving on wednesday, totally stressed out like before every tour and totally stoked.
