I’ve been asked a bunch of times what the heck i’m sayin in this song (aka what are the lyrics) they go a little something like this…
P.S. the gas is shut off in my building due to a leak and a rumor of the building almost exploding… and while we didn’t die then, there is now no heat… so lets see if we make it through the night.
DAYLIGHT
we cut the legs off of our pants
threw our shoes into the ocean
sit back and wave through the daylight
sit back and wave through the daylight
slip and slide on subway grates
these shoes are poor mans ice skates
fall through like change in the daylight
fall through like change in the daylight
i miss yellow lines in my roads
some color on monochrome
maybe i’ll paint them in myself
maybe i’ll paint them in myself
these sidewalks liquid then stone
building walls and an old pay phone
it rings like all through the daylight
it rings like all through the daylight
chorus
and in the daylight we can hitchhike to maine
i hope that someday i’ll see without these frames
and in the daylight i don’t pick up my phone
cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home
I have five clocks in my life
and only one has the time right
i’ll just unplug it for today
ill just unplug it for today
open hydrant rolled down windows
this car might make a good old boat
and float down grand street in daylight
and float down grand street in daylight
and with just half of a sunburn
new yellow lines that i earned
step back and here comes the night time
step back and here comes the night time
chorus
and in the daylight we can hitchhike to maine
i hope that someday i’ll see without these frames
and in the daylight i don’t pick up my phone
cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home
Hey yall!
We recently shot a video for a new song called DAYLIGHT. (which you can go listen to on our myspace NOW and you can download if for free at greenlabelsound.com.)
In the video are such things as kim wanting to gag while in a dumpster, my hip F’n killin me while trying play in a freezer (of a refrigerator), and a wet t-shirt contest between kim and i while playing music in the shower, (that’s half true) and us in some other equally stupid places.
it premiers on MTV2 today at 4pm, 8pm and 10pm. and i’ve heard we’re sorta speckled in through out the day on that station, minute segments of us saying embarrassing things and what not. also i believe we host a show called “rock the deuce” tonight. If you don’t have cable like us you can see the video monday on greenlabelsound.com
IN OTHER NEWS i’m super psyched for this tour coming up. We’ve been home all month and i need the road! we’re taking the incredible BEST FWENDS along with us, it starts halloween night here in brooklyn with the TODD P / PANACHE BIG HALLOWEEN BASH at the crazy DANBRO STUDIOS WAREHOUSE.
We’ve got new songs and other new surprises to take along with us as well. hope to see you there!

FINALLY, a new fucking song by Matt and Kim! Years it’s been, but starting today… you can download the song GOOD OL FASHION NIGHTMARE for FREE at rcrdlbl.com from our upcoming release GRAND!
http://rcrdlbl.com/artists/Matt_and_Kim/track/Good_Ol_Fashion_Nightmare
TWO YEARS it’s been, flew by just like THAT! (*snap). In those two years we’ve been lucky enough to have traveled all over this planet, and eat hot dogs (veggie dogs) in Chicago, shot guns at beer cans in Alaska, and see a bikini babe with a giant KORN lower back tattoo in Australia (with the backwards R and everything.) but in those two years, with all the KORN tattoos and what not to see, we haven’t had the chance to release any new songs… Well, finally that will no longer be the case. On Monday we’re pre-releasing a song from an album we’ve been working on for the past number of months. The song’s called GOOD OL’ FASHION NIGHTMARE from the album we’re calling GRAND. Starting Monday you’ll be able to download it for FREE from rcrdlbl.com. Just wanted to give you a heads up cause we’re so, super, freakin, stoked about it.
Hope all is rippin.

Matt and Kim go to a rave.
I know what you are thinking… “why the hell would they be at a rave?” I am going to admit that over 10 years ago i was a raver… a straight edge raver at that. I would go and dance my ass off from midnight till 8 in the morning completely drug free. I was introduced to the rave scene because my brother was/is a dj and i wanted to do whatever he was doing. He has been djing for 16 years now. He is still straight edge which means he really loves the music!! My brother is an amazing dj and i am so proud of him! This past weekend he spun at a rave that was here in brooklyn. It was actually at club exit where matt and i played at only a few weeks back. It was matt’s first time to a rave and i think it really exhausted him.
I will say the rave scene hasn’t changed at all which to me is a bit sad. I know alot of people don’t like things to change and i will admit up to a few years ago i was the same way but i realized if things don’t evolve we will keep doing the same shit year after year and there is nothing exciting about that. I really hope that people keep doing more amazing stuff each year which will excite other people into doing awesome stuff. If this doesn’t happen we are all going to end up like the rave scene!
Here are some photos of the rave and my brother DJ VENOM spinning. Again i am so proud of him!

This is my brother david aka DJ VENOM

Here is a video my brother put together for one of his mixes. If you don’t like violence please don’t watch this!
