TWO YEARS it’s been, flew by just like THAT! (*snap). In those two years we’ve been lucky enough to have traveled all over this planet, and eat hot dogs (veggie dogs) in Chicago, shot guns at beer cans in Alaska, and see a bikini babe with a giant KORN lower back tattoo in Australia (with the backwards R and everything.) but in those two years, with all the KORN tattoos and what not to see, we haven’t had the chance to release any new songs… Well, finally that will no longer be the case. On Monday we’re pre-releasing a song from an album we’ve been working on for the past number of months. The song’s called GOOD OL’ FASHION NIGHTMARE from the album we’re calling GRAND. Starting Monday you’ll be able to download it for FREE from rcrdlbl.com. Just wanted to give you a heads up cause we’re so, super, freakin, stoked about it.

Matt and Kim go to a rave.

I know what you are thinking… “why the hell would they be at a rave?” I am going to admit that over 10 years ago i was a raver… a straight edge raver at that. I would go and dance my ass off from midnight till 8 in the morning completely drug free. I was introduced to the rave scene because my brother was/is a dj and i wanted to do whatever he was doing. He has been djing for 16 years now. He is still straight edge which means he really loves the music!! My brother is an amazing dj and i am so proud of him! This past weekend he spun at a rave that was here in brooklyn. It was actually at club exit where matt and i played at only a few weeks back. It was matt’s first time to a rave and i think it really exhausted him.
I will say the rave scene hasn’t changed at all which to me is a bit sad. I know alot of people don’t like things to change and i will admit up to a few years ago i was the same way but i realized if things don’t evolve we will keep doing the same shit year after year and there is nothing exciting about that. I really hope that people keep doing more amazing stuff each year which will excite other people into doing awesome stuff. If this doesn’t happen we are all going to end up like the rave scene!

After the boston show matt and i drove back to Rhode Island to spend a few days with my family. While there i took care of business. I had 3 cavities filled, found out i need my wisdom teeth out and i got my hair did! I have my brothers ex girlfriend courtney do it. I realized i never really went to hair stylists (if that is what you call them) growing up and once i was in college i could never afford them so i always got friends to do it. My old roommate tom use to cut it alot but before cutting he would have to drink a beer. I think he thought he did a better job once a beer was in him. He would sit me in a chair and just cut around. Once i started dating matt he thought my hair was a mess and started doing it. There were a few bad haircuts but he is really good at it. You just have to keep an eye on him and remind him to stop cutting! Maybe that is why for the longest time i had short hair. Now courtney does it whenever i head home and matt maintains it year round. Here is a before photo, a under the drier photo, a photo of courtney and me with the finished product and i added a photo that was taken when matt was cutting my hair a few months ago. Man if this band thing doesn’t work out i am going to pimp him out as a stylist.
