Hair did!

After the boston show matt and i drove back to Rhode Island to spend a few days with my family. While there i took care of business. I had 3 cavities filled, found out i need my wisdom teeth out and i got my hair did! I have my brothers ex girlfriend courtney do it. I realized i never really went to hair stylists (if that is what you call them) growing up and once i was in college i could never afford them so i always got friends to do it. My old roommate tom use to cut it alot but before cutting he would have to drink a beer. I think he thought he did a better job once a beer was in him. He would sit me in a chair and just cut around. Once i started dating matt he thought my hair was a mess and started doing it. There were a few bad haircuts but he is really good at it. You just have to keep an eye on him and remind him to stop cutting! Maybe that is why for the longest time i had short hair. Now courtney does it whenever i head home and matt maintains it year round. Here is a before photo, a under the drier photo, a photo of courtney and me with the finished product and i added a photo that was taken when matt was cutting my hair a few months ago. Man if this band thing doesn’t work out i am going to pimp him out as a stylist.

we survived SXSW

We made it through SXSW and had an awesome time. I found some videos that recapped some crazy shows. Thought i would put them up.
For anyone who came out to our show or just happened to walk past while we were playing and decided to watch. I just wanted to say thanks so much.

I love our boys flosstradamus!

We have now been home from australia for a few weeks and just finally adjusted to the jet lag. Thanks Melatonin!!
If anyone is traveling and messed up on jet lag look into this stuff.

The trip was really mind blowing. There were so many things we’d never seen before! I mean i am sure everyone in australia is over people coming over and freaking out about kangaroos but come on, kangaroos are freakin weird and we got to touch them.

We also got to check out koalas
matt relates to this little dude
matt seemed to connect with the koalas…
i think he is just jealous of how much they sleep

We also saw some freaky shit.
The size of their house spiders terrified me…
daddy long legs don’t seem so bad anymore!

After seeing all this crazy shit we also had awesome shows in brisbane. We played at a night called wolfgang at the alhambra lounge and then we did an all ages pool party at the Ithica pool.

Right before the doors were open for the pool party it turned into a terenchal downpour. rather then gettin all down about it, we moved the show into the women’s bathroom!
Everyone says it doesn’t rain in australia.
I call bull shit on that.
rained out?
brisbane pool/bathroom show
Even with the rain it all turned out to be an fun show

here is an important bit of knowledge someone in brisbane taught us. It is how you play “yea yeah” on your phone
yea yeah phone code
Thanks to the wolf gang crew for showing us how to get it done in australia.

After Brisbane we headed to sydney where we met up with chris wu. He is the man who brought us over to australia. Rad dude.

We wanted to do touristy things so he took us to the sydney opera house so matt and i could race up the steps…..

If it was a distance race i would of kicked his ass!

chillin in sydney

we were passing by a mac store in sydney and matt wanted to see what this new super tiny laptop looks like so he was trying to peek in the window to try if he could see one and i don’t know how it happened but he slammed his face into the glass. You can kind of see the smudge mark from his nose in this photo. I laughed for the next half hour. Actually it still cracks me up!

The Sydney shows were great. I wish we had more photos from the nights. We played both days at oxford art factory. We had a sweet dance party after the first show which made it really hard to wake up for the early show the next day, but hey, no biggie.

After Sydney we made our way to Perth. We didn’t take any pics when we were over there. We did get to go to the beach and chill in the sun. I have never seen water so clean…. i mean i could see my feet, probably sliiiiiightly cleaner then the east river.

Our final stop was Melbourne where i really wish we had more time. We basically flew in and headed straight to the show which was at this awesome Lawn Bowl Place! For those of you who don’t know what lawn bowl is… think bocce ball but super pro. I mean you can’t go wrong with a game you can participate in while holding a beer in the other hand. We had a rad all ages show there. Matt took a crash from the top of the crowd but hey it isn’t a good show with out a bit of rug burn!

We did some exploring in melbourne before the show

fountain jump

we think this is a no farting sign

no farting?
Our last show was at a night called click click. There was a fog machine so it was obviously a rad way to end the tour. We had such a good trip and want to thank everyone in each town who showed us around, came to the shows and were straight up awesome!

We will be back!

Big hugs
kim
