Summer is here and something about it just seems to take years off. You feel 18 again while biking with friends at night, swerving on and off the sidewalk down Kent Ave, or driving to Rockaway Beach with the windows down and your crappy stereo turned up. But the best part is while you’re turning those years back you can shed off some of that bullshit that’s been building up on your shoulders and weighing you down. Just take everything a few steps back, put on some music that you hold close, and make this summer all about you.

TONIGHT We are playing a free show in SEATTLE at Neumos. It is one of those weird rsvp things so i wanted to let everyone know how it is going to go down.

and they will send you a number or a way to print a ticket. They won’t be cutting off the rsvp so once you get this number it is a first come first serve type of thing. Doors are at 830 and we go on at 930! After us a crazy dance party is going to start with Drop the Lime and DJ AM. So you know i will be on the dance floor as soon as we are done playing! I hope everyone there will be saving me a dance!

After Seattle we fly to germany… yea i know it is going to be a long ass flight.

The lessons learned video is premiering today all day on mtv. We don’t have cable to watch it so i hope it looks good. Actually i don’t think i need to watch it…. you’ll see.

It seems like matt getting back to it. Which is good because we are about to head to australia.
I have posted up our new dates which include australia, europe, south america, and then back
to the states. When we get back we will be doing these Bacardi dates with djs like A-trek,
DJ Jazzy Jeff, MSTRKRFT, and DJ AM. These will be RSVP dates but are free (from what we have
been told) so as soon as i get that rsvp address i will post that up.

I also wanted to send out a “sorry!” I am so behind on emails and myspace messages.
I am trying to get to it before we leave for australia. So please don’t think that i am an ass!

A lot has happen in the past two weeks. It actually feels like two months but yes about two weeks ago matt injured his back while we were on tour. We had to cancel shows and fly him home while Taylor, Mike and i, drove our van back to brooklyn. Once matt got home he started seeing a chiropractor and spent alot of time on the couch/bed/floor. He was all high on pain killers and muscle relaxers and one day was watching TV for 10 minutes before realizing the sound wasn’t on. He’s now toughing it out naturaly. He keeps seeing the doctor every few days to get him back on track. Matt has had electricity sent through him, been hung upside down and keeps having his vertebrae put back into place (those suckers keep wanting to pop out!) With all this he is feeling much better. So we’re just going to go for it, strap his back brace on him, throw him on stage and show that back who’s boss!

This all leads us to this wednesday. We will be playing on the santa monica pier in california. It is the Levi’s 3rd annual powersliding championship. It starts at 3 PM and we’ll go on right at 3:45. This is at the north parking lot of the santa monica pier. Check out this video to see how perfectly ridiculous (in a good way) this thing is going to be.

After this we are basically touring till october. Below are some dates that include australia, europe, south america and then back to the US. I don’t have the US dates yet but i will post them as soon as i get them. Check back to our website soon for more details.

We will also be making up the shows we missed because of matt’s back.
