Siren Festival is taking place this Saturday (July 17th) in Brooklyn at Coney Island. We are headlining this year and will be hitting the stage at 7:30. We haven’t played a New York show in over a year. It is time to come home!
I was packing my bag and thought I would share with you things you might need:
Sunscreen – Matt is so white that if the sun peeks through a shadow it burns him.
Water - Sometimes we forget, but you need a “spacer” between all those beers.
Money for beer – Unless you can scam some… Girls, bat those eyelashes!
Short shorts – Coney Island is hot. Why wear a lot of clothing?!
Bathing suit or underwear - Who’s ballsy enough to jump in that water?
Cell phone – It’s crazy how you can lose someone as soon as you step off the train.
Grape juice – Come on guys… you know there isn’t grape juice in that bottle.
Your dance shoes – They don’t have to be fancy. They don’t even have to be on your feet.
Extra life – You have to ride The Cyclone and if you survive it you just used up your extra life!
See you guys Saturday.
Big hugs
Kim

Philly was a great way to start the holiday weekend. We played a free outdoor show for Radio 104.5. The Piazza was packed and people were ready to let loose in true Philly style. I am going to say that Matt pulled the stupidest stunt when he climbed above the stage. If anyone has photos of that please send them over.
Our 4th of July got a bit out of control, ending the weekend at a friends backyard BBQ party. We watched Matt’s brothers band, “Fletcher C Johnson” and our friend J’s band “The Goddamn Rattlesnake” play. It was time to call it quits when a crazy neighbor jumped the fence and started shooting roman candles at everyone. GO USA!
