Certain people get motivated by different things. For me, I am mostly motivated by competition and when my friend Colin told me he was running 6-8 miles I knew I had to step my game up. So today’s workout was all because of my competitiveness.

  • 6 mile run (I haven’t run this far since 1996. My ass is killing me right now!)

When I get to part 6 I start swear more than I do on stage! The thing is, I swear a lot on stage because I am excited. I start swearing at this women cause she is killing my ass and thighs!

Did stretches afterwards too! Don’t forget to stretch people.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7
Sometimes your life gets busy… like today for me…. and you can only do a small workout. It all counts and it is better than doing nothing. My morning started with early morning meetings that lasted all day. They were all inspiring and we are making plans for the next album so I am excited to go on this run to think about everything that was talked about.

Today’s Workout:

  • 2.5 miles run and then stretching.

That is going to be it today because then i have to get ready for my friend’s Karaoke birthday party. Which song off of “Watch The Throne” should i do?

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6
Kim’s workout Tip #1. If someone is hitting on you while you are trying to workout tell them you have a turtle head comin out. They’ll leave you alone after that. Seriously it works every time!

Today’s Workout:
Ok so I took yesterday off and the day before I forgot to post my workout after I did it.

Saturday’s workout was a 10 mile bike ride using these videos 1-5

Then I used the Nike Training Club app and did Ab Burners. I am still sore from that!

Today I am about to head out on a 3-mile run and when I get back I will do the NTC app and do butt busters (these names crack me up). I would just call it Booty BAM!! Well at least that is what I say to Matt when I am done and make him slap my ass!

So I forgot to post yesterday’s workout. I didn’t do it till late cause we were in the studio later than I thought we’d be.

Last Night’s Workout:

  • Type:Bike/Butt workout
  • Weather: Inside
  • Where: Bed Stuy,Brooklyn
  • Distance 15 minute butt workout
  • Biked for 9 miles

Today’s Workout:

  • Type: Run
  • Weather: 34 degrees. It got cold again
  • Where: Clinton Hill, Brooklyn
  • Distance: 2.9 miles
  • Time: 23 minutes

Playlist: Shuffle (it was an old school shuffle today)

I didn’t get to do anything else cause we were late getting to the studio. I look at it as any bit helps. If I can only do something active for 23 minutes today then that is better than not doing anything.

So my question to you is…. whachu got?

p.s. Working out at 11pm and then at 9am the next morning is not enough recovery time. You should see me trying to walk up and down stairs. It is pathetic.

  • Weather: 35 degrees and drizzling.
  • Almost busted my ass on some slushy snow. Happy it didn’t happen cause no one was around and my feelings are if you are going to take a big fall make sure there are plenty of people around to laugh at you! I mean if you are going to fall you might as well amuse someone… right?

I spent a good portion of today online trying to find a 20-minute workout online. I thought this would be easier to find so if anyone has one to suggest let me know. I am trying to find one that I can download to my computer.

I hope the weather clears up tomorrow so I can go run

  • I did 1-4 and then a 6-minute cool down. 10 miles total.

This workout really kicked my ass but I feel good now.

  • After this I did 125 sit ups and the dog peeing exercise. I really have to figure out what it is really called!

No music for this exercise just this bitch telling me what to do!

SUNDAY, JANUARY 15
Today’s workout almost didn’t happen because I thought I broke my Nike iPod thing. The thing is I do this a lot with anything computer-like. Usually Matt fixes these things but his ass was still sleeping. Thanks to Abby Mann, Collin McCann and Dayna Rouse I got my ass outside and did my run the old fashion way…. Mapping it out in Google maps to see what the distance is! Much better than the old-old fashion way of having my dad drive along with me to tell me when each mile came up. So I hope others will post what they did today or maybe you will see what I posted and other posted and it will get your ass out and about.

Who is going to work out with me? So I was working out before X-mas but then I got sick and stopped. Then I got lazy and didn’t start back up till today. As I was running I thought about posting stuff on here and having other people post their workouts too. Let’s make this like a Matt and Kim show and “do this shit together”

Today’s Workout:

  • Type of workout: Run
  • Weather: Cold as shit with some snowflakes dropping
  • Where: Bed Stuy, Brooklyn
  • Distance: 2.5 miles (was suppose to be 2 miles but then “don’t slow down” came on and i just had to keep going)
  • Time: 19:53
  • Pace:7’54” (this will probably slow down cause i always run faster my first day out)

Listened to Grand by… well, us!

After I did a variation of 80 sit ups. I fucking hate sit ups and was trying to think of any excuse not to do them.

2011 is over and it was one hell of a year! I want to thank everyone who came to a show, got sweaty with us, purchased a song, raged to a song, spread our music to their friends…. Basically I want to thank anyone who had our back this year and to let you all know we really appreciated it! I am sad that we won’t be doing shows for the next 6 months but I am really excited that we are working on a new album! Can’t wait for you all to hear it and to see you back out on the road at the end of summer!

We have only 2 more shows left this year, and let me tell you, if you thought we went crazy at all in 2011, we will do our best to top that for the last shows of the year. I always say you have to go out with a bang. Or at least that is what I tell Matt when…well, you know what I am talking about!

We end the year in our home town with a crazy-ass party at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Joining us on stage will be Super Mash Bros. and Body Language. I am planning a few costume changes and a night of regrets. You have to get them all out of the way before the new year starts! NYE TICKETS

After these shows Matt and I are taking the first half of 2012 to write and record a new album. Which means no shows for 6 months. I don’t think we have ever had that much time away from doing shows. I predict I might go a little crazy.

I am getting ahead of myself now. I am supposed to be talking about December. Another thing happening in December is a collaboration with Converse.  Not a song this time. This time it is a sneaker.  We have made a limited-edition MATT AND KIM CONVERSE.  They are available at the NYC and BOSTON Converse stores.  We will also be doing a Meet and Greet at the Boston Converse store on December 10th from 1-3pm.

We have to keep your feet covered, but let’s not forget that mid area.  We have also extended our Black Friday sale all the way to DECEMBER 25th. So that is the rest of our year… I can’t believe a year has gone past.  It has been one crazy fucking awesome year and i want to thank anyone who has come to a show and danced with us or just put our music on and danced in their living room!
