Certain  people get motivated by different things.  For me, I am mostly motivated  by competition and when my friend Colin told me he was running 6-8  miles I knew I had to step my game up.  So today&#8217;s workout was all because of my competitiveness.</p>

Sometimes  your life gets busy&#8230; like today for me&#8230;. and you can only do a  small workout.  It all counts and it is better than doing nothing.  My  morning started with early morning meetings that lasted all day.  They  were all inspiring and we are making plans for the next album so I am  excited to go on this run to think about everything that was talked  about.</p>

Kim&#8217;s  workout Tip #1. If someone is hitting on you while you are trying to  workout tell them you have a turtle head comin out. They&#8217;ll leave you  alone after that. Seriously it works every time!</p>

Ok so I took yesterday off and the day before I forgot to post my workout after I did it.</p>

<p>Then I used the Nike Training Club app and did Ab Burners.  I am still sore from that!</p>
<p>Today I am about to head out on a 3-mile run and when I get back I will  do the NTC app and do butt busters (these names crack me up). I would  just call it Booty BAM!! Well at least that is what I say to Matt  when I am done and make him slap my ass!</p>

Today&#8217;s  workout almost didn&#8217;t happen because I thought I broke my Nike iPod  thing.  The thing is I do this a lot with anything computer-like.   Usually Matt fixes these things but his ass was still sleeping.  Thanks  to Abby Mann, Collin McCann and Dayna Rouse I got my ass outside and did  my run the old fashion way…. Mapping it out in Google maps to see what  the distance is!  Much better than the old-old fashion way of having my dad drive along with me to tell me when  each mile came up.   So I hope others will post what they did today or  maybe you will see what I posted and other posted and it will get your  ass out and about.</p>

As I was running I thought about posting stuff on here and  having other people post their workouts too.  Let&#8217;s make this like a Matt  and Kim show and &#8220;do this shit together&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Today&#8217;s Workout:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Type of workout: Run</li>
<li>Weather: Cold as shit with some snowflakes dropping</li>
<li>Where: Bed Stuy, Brooklyn</li>
<li>Distance: 2.5 miles (was suppose to be 2 miles but then &#8220;don&#8217;t slow down&#8221; came on and i just had to keep going)</li>
<li>Time: 19:53</li>
<li>Pace:7&#8217;54&#8221;  (this will probably slow down cause i always run faster my first day out)</li>
</ul>
<p>Music:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Listened to Grand by… well, us!</p>
<p>After I did a variation of 80 sit ups.  I fucking hate sit ups and was trying to think of any excuse not to do them.</p>

I want to thank everyone who came to a show, got sweaty with us, purchased a song, raged to a song, spread our music to their friends&#8230;. Basically I want to thank anyone who had our back this year and to let you all know we really appreciated it! I am sad that we won&#8217;t be doing shows for the next 6 months but I am really excited that we are working on a new album! Can&#8217;t wait for you all to hear it and to see you back out on the road at the end of summer!<br />

<p style="text-align: left;">We have only 2 more shows left this year, and let me tell you, if you thought we went crazy at all in 2011, we will do our best to top that for the last shows of the year. I always say you have to go out with a bang. Or at least that is what I tell Matt when&#8230;well, you know what I am talking about!</p>

<p>We end the year in our home town with a crazy-ass party at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Joining us on stage will be Super Mash Bros. and Body Language. I am planning a few costume changes and a night of regrets. <p>After these shows Matt and I are taking the first half of 2012 to write and record a new album. Which means no shows for 6 months. I don&#8217;t think we have ever had that much time away from doing shows. I predict I might go a little crazy.</p>
<p>I am getting ahead of myself now. I am supposed to be talking about December. Another thing happening in December is a collaboration with Converse.  Not <a href="http://play.converse.com/blog/2011/08/16/im-a-goner/"><strong>a song</strong></a> this time. This time it is a sneaker.  We have made a limited-edition MATT AND KIM CONVERSE.  They are available at the NYC and BOSTON Converse stores.  We will also be doing a Meet and Greet at the Boston Converse store on December 10th from 1-3pm.</p>
<p>We have to keep your feet covered, but let&#8217;s not forget that mid area.  We have also extended our Black Friday sale all the way to DECEMBER 25th. On our website we have a sale going that if you buy 1 t-shirt, you get 1 free! You can be greedy and keep both or buy one for yourself and then give the other one as a gift! You can also give them both away as gifts but that is crazy. You deserve something special for yourself!  I demand it.</p>

<p>I can&#8217;t wait for everyone to hear what we come up with next. We are really excited to take on 2012 and go harder than we&#8217;ve ever gone before!</p>
